    log4j.logger.com.ocpsoft.pretty.faces.application=ERROR,prettyFaces

    but it doesn’t work

    even i tried it through web.xml:

    <init-param>

    <param-name>logLevel</param-name>

    <param-value>ERROR</param-value>

    </init-param>

    but it doesn’t work too, please advise.

    Christian, this is the same issue I had and mentioned before. So I’m not the only one who has it.

    My post:

    http://ocpsoft.com/support/topic/prettyfaces-causes-wep-app-to-hang

    #21599

    I don’t think it’s the same. In this case the logger is not configured correctly. It doesn’t seem like the application hangs. It just creates a lot of log messages.

    These debug messages are emitted by Apache Digester and can be removed by setting the corresponding logger level to INFO. The category for Digester in the most recent version of PrettyFaces is:

    com.ocpsoft.shade.org.apache.commons.digester

    For older versions of PrettyFaces you have to use:

    org.apache.commons.digester
