That seems to have fixed it! Now I get one clean exception and Seam catches it for all scenarios.
I went back and double checked the latest Seam documentation and found this:
Seam Doc 6.12.2 and it doesn’t suggest adding the dispatchers. I also went back through the sample applications that are packaged and they also don’t have the dispatcher properties either.
I have learned about filters during this troubleshooting process but I still need to research how the dispatchers may cause an effect. So far, adding the dispatchers hasn’t had a negative effect on the rest of the application.
At the least, I hope that it helps someone else that is using Seam. Is it work mentioning this in the PrettyFaces documentation when using Seam or should this be redirected back to Seam?
