    Hi,
    I have problem using prettyfaces with container-based security. After adding prettyfaces to pom.xml, the secured pages can be viewed by unauthorised user. The original question is on the stackoverflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/17133638/prettyfaces-and-the-container-based-security .

    I am also adding my simple zipped project in attachment (the prettyfaces dependencies are already added in pom.xml).
    The sample project was created following these steps:
    1. Create simple maven web application.
    2. Add a security constraint to web.xml.
    3. Create pages login,login-fail, user/home.xhtml (the secured one). After this step, the security is working fine and the login page is showed after acessing user/home.xhtml.
    4. Adding 2 dependencies from http://ocpsoft.org/prettyfaces/ to the pom.xml. Now the security is not working anymore.

    Confirmed. This is reproducible. Investigating.

    Problem solved. Releasing new version ASAP. This is a big bug. Thank you very much for finding it and letting us know!

    Released… Check the maven repos in about 2 or 3 hours for the new version, or you can get it immediately from the sonatype repositories: https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/public/

    Hi

    I Know this is an old post – but I’m having the exact same problem.

    I’m using PrettyFaces (I know I should convert to ReWrite but haven’t had time) and everything in my application is accessible when prettyfaces is activated – even though some areas require specific roles 🙁

    Can you confirm that the fixed error also is present in the PrettyFaces.

    Here is my pom config

    		<dependency>
    			<groupId>org.ocpsoft.rewrite</groupId>
    			<artifactId>rewrite-servlet</artifactId>
    			<version>2.0.10.Final</version>
    		</dependency>
    		<dependency>
    			<groupId>org.ocpsoft.rewrite</groupId>
    			<artifactId>rewrite-config-prettyfaces</artifactId>
    			<version>2.0.10.Final</version>
    		</dependency>

    The older PrettyFaces versions probably suffer from this same problem.

    Ah, but you are already using the rewrite-config-prettyfaces version 2.0.10? This issue should not occur. Could you upload a sample app and steps to reproduce your problem?

    Thanks,
    Lincoln
