    I have defined the following error page in web.xml:

    <error-page>
    <error-code>404</error-code>
    <location>/error.jsf?msg=error_404</location>
    </error-page>

    If a requested page is not found the page is rendered but the outbound links are not rewritten. What could be causing this issue?
    I am using rewrite 2.0.0. The same error happens if adding error pages in web.xml in the rewrite showcase bookstore app.

    But the rest of the page renders correctly? Only the outbound links aren’t rewritten.

    What happens if you access /error.jsf?msg=error_404 directly? Does the outbound rewriting work in this case?

    Did you configure the RewriteFilter in your web.xml manually?

    The page renders fine when called directly including rewritten outbound links.
    I did not configure RewriteFilter manually.

    Hmmm. Seems like error pages aren’t handled correctly.

    Could you perhaps open a ticket for this?

    And if possible, could you perhaps include a minimal sample application to reproduce this. This would make fixing this issue more easy for us.

    I have added error pages to the bookstore example app and opened a new ticket on github (https://github.com/ocpsoft/rewrite/issues/94).
    Can you provide me a workaround or a hint how to solve this issue for now?

    Thanks for creating this issue. I’ll have a look at it ASAP.

    I’m not sure if there is an easy workaround for this. I’ll must take a deeper look at this issue.
