    It would be nice if there would be some easy way to do custom URL encoding or better custom parameter conversion before PrettyFaces do URL encoding.

    Some parameters I want to use for URL construction contains weird accents so I need to normalize tham. Also I want to replece white spaces with ‘_’. And so on.

    Custom rewrite processor is executed after URL encoding – its too late.

    Hey! Yes, I also think there is a need to have more control over the conversion process. I planned to add support for attaching standard JSF converters to individual path or query parameters. There is already a ticket tracking this:

    What do you think about this? Would it fit your needs? I like the idea of supporting custom JSF converters as they provide conversion both ways: Object -> String (URL encoding), String -> Object (URL decoding).

    I already started some work on this and hope to finish this feature as soon as possible. But there is still some work to do…
